Carolyn Beckner is a Muskoka-Based Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience and a background in labour and delivery. After a year away from the bedside, she's excited to step back into patient care in the growing field of IV therapy at Balanced.
A wife and mom of three, she's passionate about wellness and helping clients feel their best while educating the community.
Wellness Coordinator
Erin Oswald is a dedicated healthcare professional and mother who began her nursing career as an RPN after moving to Muskoka three years ago. Passionate about patient care and lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing her RN designation.
With experience in mental health, mother-baby care, rehabilitation, cardiovascular and general surgery, and long-term care, Erin is committed to supporting both physical and emotional well-being. Her passion for personal wellness and preventative care led her to IV therapy, where she focuses on helping people optimize hydration, recovery, and overall wellness.
Registered Nurse
Graduating from McMaster University in 2019, Liz Rau began her nursing career in corrections before transitioning into emergency medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys soaking up the sun with her baby girl and four-legged best friend, Nala.
Liz is passionate about helping people not only feeling their best, but look their best too — which is why she’s so excited to begin this new journey with Balanced IV.
Registered Nurse
University of Ottawa graduate Maggie McIntyre began her nursing career at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare – South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in 2020. In 2023, she returned to school to further specialize in critical care nursing, completing the Critical Care Nursing Program at Durham College in Spring 2024.
Known for her compassionate and personable nature, Maggie is passionate about supporting others and bringing comfort and positivity to those around her.
Outside of work, Maggie is a proud mother of three who enjoys spending quality time with her family and practicing Pilates.
Registered Nurse
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Talia Parker began her career as a pediatric registered nurse at a children’s hospital in 2023. After gaining experience across several areas of pediatrics, she discovered a passion for pediatric surgical care and loves working closely with children to create positive, comfortable experiences around medical care. Her passion for helping others feel strong, healthy, and supported shines through in everything she does.
She is currently taking a short hiatus from nursing while exploring Canada and embracing new adventures. With a love for the outdoors, she spent the winter learning how to snowboard and is looking forward to a summer filled with hiking, camping, and making unforgettable memories.
Clinical Assistant
Georgian College nursing graduate Tory Sheppard, who recently earned a 2026 Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is thrilled to be joining the team at Balanced IV.
She chose nursing because of the joy it brings her to care for and support others. As she begins her nursing career, Tori strives to create a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment grounded in compassion, empathy, and kindness. Her favourite part of nursing is helping others through their healing, wellness, and self-care journeys.
